Logan Campus Master Plan

Project Summary

The largest capital improvement program in the history of LCC changed the image of the campus regionally and nationally.  The goal was to redefine the commuter campus and give the college some cohesiveness.  The project included the William D. Purser DC Center, a new fountain focused quadrangle and student gathering area.  Three new parking areas were integrated with the existing campus arrangement and approximately 95% of the campus roads were replaced.  The existing campus entry was enhanced and a second campus entry was incorporated into the design.  A highlight of this beautifully landscaped 113-acre campus is a new 2.25 acre retention pond with fountains.  The focal point of the lighted quadrangle is the learning center, which includes a 1500 seat multipurpose auditorium along with a 900 seat outdoor amphitheater.  A unique feature of the amphithteater is a 20 by 60 foot hangar door that expands the exterior platform to the back of the building’s facilities.
