Upon release of funding, the existing Cahokia High School will be replaced with a new state-of-the-art facility. Features include low density classrooms for up to 1,400 students. The facility will be organized into academies for each grade level with separate lunch for 9th graders. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) labs will provide students real-world work experiences and training. The facility will have after hour community access on one level. The facility is designed with security and energy consciousness in mind.
